Folding electric bike
Electric bicycles were very popular and interesting. Actually, they still are. But, with the new technology, they are better every day. Many new features are available and many new solutions that should provide use of electric bicycles easier and more effective. Soon we will be able to buy a solar bike. It uses solar energy to recharge its battery. But, regular electric bikes are advancing as well. Recently we were able to see a concept of a new type of bicycle that use electric motors for movement. Maybe it sounds like nothing new, but the interesting fact is that this bicycle doesn’t have a chain. The transmission of torque, that rider makes, is transmitted to the rear wheel. But that transmission is tucked into the frame. In the front wheel is an electric motor (350W). This bike also has a lithium-ion battery. It is located in the frame as well.
This bike is called JIVR and it has a radius of 30 km. Maybe it isn’t something much, but for many people is enough. For example, those who travel 15-20 km to work, now can use this bike. Energy efficiency is monitored through the special controller and the top speed is 25 km/h. Only 1.5 hours are needed to recharge the battery. This bike acts like an external antenna. It provides you the possibility to receive information directly to your smartphone. Bluetooth 4.0 module is also built in. With this, the driver can see the duration and data on the speed in real time. The JIVR electric bike will be available on the market in September, this year. Price is unknown. Maybe the best feature is its weight, 15 kg and folding mechanism.
